The 2010s has been the decade of the eyebrow. People let them grow and started to buy more products. Defined and filled in brows are very popular where I live, but I don’t follow that trend. As of 2019, the only eyebrow product I use on the regular is tinted gel mascara.
One of my recent purchases in this category was the Essence make me brow eyebrow gel mascara. This is a vegan, paraben and cruelty free product that is also very affordable.
What I like about this eyebrow mascara is that it defines the brow but still gives a very natural effect. It also has little fibers on the formula, which helps fill in any gaps. Oh, and the packaging is very compact, perfect for makeup bags.
What I don’t like about this mascara is that it can come out way too much product on the brush, which ends up all on the brow. And then when you try to clean the excess product, it smudges. A lot. But, because this is not a waterproof product, it is easy to clean the mess.
Would I buy it again?
I don’t know. I love how this product looks on the brow but the mess it can make annoys me. Last week I would say that no, I wouldn’t buy it again. But two days ago I gave the mascara to a family member, and now I kind of miss it. And now I know it is vegan, paraben and cruelty free so… I don’t have an answer to this question. Maybe in the future.
