Best Dressed from the Golden Globes 2021

This Sunday (28/02), the Golden Globes opened the award season. Even though the classic red carpet didn’t really happen, most celebrities still chose to dress up for the occasion. Some of them chose a more casual outfit, like H.E.R. and Michelle Pfeiffer, both in Valentino. But the black tie reigned, and we got fashion moments like Rosamund Pike in Molly Goddard and Josh O’Connor in Loewe.

The Princesses

We all know that dress with full skirts and/or soft colors that has the power to make you feel like a Disney princess. Elle Fanning and her custom Gucci definitely fit in this category. The pastel blue silk dress with the jewelry details turned her in the perfect live action Elsa, and one of the best dressed celebrities of the night. Kaley Cuoco went with the same stylistic route in an Oscar de la Renta, while rising star Maria Bakalova opted for a Giorgio Armani number. Both gowns were safe choices, but still pretty. Amanda Seyfried also chose Oscar, but the highlight of her coral dress were the sleeves full of flowers.

A party in the living room

Just because we can’t physically go to events, it doesn’t mean we can’t create our own household exclusive party. That seemed to be the mindset for these artists. Emma Corin wore a Miu Miu dress that seemed perfect for the 1980s, and also a nod to her character in The Crown. Julia Garner went for a more 1920s style made by Prada. They are both not only phenomenal actresses, but also style stars. Viola Davis wanted to wear something by a black designer. She ended choosing a bright printed dress by Lavie by CK.

Another bright outfit was the Valentino chosen by Dan Levy, and Kate Hudson’s not so basic Louis Vuitton LBD. Anya Taylor-Joy looked like a queen in her deep green Dior Haute Couture, while Lily Collins went for a beautiful Saint Laurent. Cynthia Erivo was one of the few celebrities that physically attended the ceremony, and her outfit did not disappoint. She chose a neon green Valentino Haute Couture dress fresh from the runway.

Classic but not boring

Being classic doesn’t necessarily means boring. Take Vanessa Kirby for example, she chose a black Gucci dress. But the neckline, choice of fabric and impeccable fit turned her outfit in a sexy and timeless look. Another good example were the Chanel girls Andra Day and and Daisy Edgar-Jones. Gal Gadot chose a white mini dress by Givenchy, also a classic but interesting style.

Nice blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere? A design like yours with a few simple adjustements would really make my blog shine. Please let me know where you got your theme. Bless you
