Pharrell Williams was announced as Louis Vuitton Men’s creative director on Tuesday, February 14. The American musician and entrepreneur will show his first collection for the brand during Paris Men’s Fashion Week in June.
Tod’s and Lamborghini Collaborating on Collection
Italian fashion and leather-goods brand Tod’s is partnering with carmaker Automobile Lamborghini on a joint collection. They will be releasing leather goods, apparel, footwear, and other accessories. There is still no release date.
Fendi and LVMH are Launching a Prize that Celebrates Italian Craftsmanship
Fendi and its parent company LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton are partnering with the Confartigianato association and Camera Nazionale Della Moda Italiana to present the Maestri d’Eccellenza award, which is dedicated to Italian master artisans. The goal is to raise awareness to the importance and preservation of Italian craftsmanship by bringing media attention and offering financial aid.
The award is reserved for Italian companies and artisans that have been in operation for at least 12 months in the sectors of footwear, tailoring, clothing, textiles, eyewear, jewelry, and other fashion product components. Applications opened on Wednesday, February 15, and can be submitted until May 14, on the dedicated website.
The final winners will be revealed during a special event in September, and they will receive a money prize of 10.000 euros, media coverage, and mentoring sessions with Fendi professionals.
Skims Swim is Coming Back
Skims is reintroducing its swimwear line and adding ten new styles to the collection. The pieces, which are meant to be worn inside and outside the pool, will include the sizes XXS to 4X. The collection will be available for purchase starting Tuesday, February 21, on the brand’s website.
