Burberry and the Tisci-isms

The Burberry Autumn/Winter 2020 collection is called Memories. And the reason for that is simple: it was inspired by Riccardo Tisci’s memories and discoveries that shaped him as a designer. No wonder you can find many pieces and details similar to the ones he created for Givenchy.

But this collection is more than just some Tisci-isms. It showcased a rework of classic pieces and symbols from the brand, like the trench coat and plaid motif. Even though there were lots of dashes of color, the clothes were mainly in black or Burberry tan. And, overall, the looks exhaled and air of stereotypical British fashion (in a kind of fashion forward way).

One of the most interesting parts of this collection is the way they worked with the idea of femininity and streetwear. There were lots of beautifully tailored pieces and a take on lingerie as outerwear.
